Lady of the Lake on wood, 2016

Description

Part of my fairytales series, this Welsh tale is of Gwyn, who falls in LOVE with a beautiful lady ‘of the lake’. He finally manages to win her over but Nelferch does eventually go back to the lake, breaking Gwyn’s heart. Their three sons were passed on the mission of relieving the pain and misery of mankind, taught by their mother the virtues of plants and herbs and the art of healing.

Spraypaint and acrylic on reclaimed wood, sanded down and varnished.
